Lockdowns, pandemics and disputed elections had accelerated the flight from sovereign currencies. Nations watched their tax base seep into wallets they could not seize.

It was, in retrospect, inevitable that the old order would strike back. The chronicle named every actor: the central banks that coordinated the crackdown, the politicians who voted it into law, the tech executives who built the rails that replaced cash. Shoothis felt the weight of ninety years of state-sanctioned history dissolve into a shorter, uglier story.
