Part Three · Chapter 1

NFT's secret chronicles

The hundred-piece NFT set that Shoothis and GestaZero had hunted for a decade had never been about the art. It was a ledger. Embedded in each image, under the alpha channel and between metadata fields, were slices of an archive that the centralised quantlit authorities had spent forty years scrubbing out of public memory.

Reconstructed, the set became a chronicle — Altered History — a chain of evidence describing how the 21st century had broken, and how the 22nd had been engineered on top of the wreckage. Shoothis laid the pieces out on his wall and, for the first time in his long life, felt afraid.

He took GestaZero to the garden that evening and told the Flowerers what he had found. This was no longer a protest. This was a reckoning.
